ABOUT BLACK OAK TATTOO

Founded in 2021 by Tattoo Artist Douglas Kulbis as a shop where all would feel welcome. Black Oak prides itself on its professionalism, integrity, and dedication to the art. As a primarily custom shop, our artists are more than capable of bringing your ideas to life. We are conveniently located on 214 S.College ave. in historic Old Town in Ft Collins Colorado.

DOUGLAS KULBIS

Began tattooing in 2009 after serving in the United States Marine Corps Infantry. He is a lifelong artist, who found his calling for tattoo art serving overseas creating tattoo templates for fellow service members. He takes great pains in putting together the best possible designs and placements for each and every tattoo. Douglas primarily tattoos with an illustrative style but is happy to put more of a traditional bend if that's what your after. he primarily works in black and grey, and limited color pallets.

CLINT FISKE

Native to Denver began tattooing in 2006 while also attending The Art Institute of Colorado (2005-2008). After graduating in 2008 his career took off. Obsessed with art, Clint found his calling as a tattoo artist and has dedicated his life to it.  While specializing in black and grey realism he enjoys tattooing several styles and strives to create that unique piece for each client.

AUSTIN RAND

Austin is a Colorado native, and was born and raised in Fort Collins. He has been passionate about art since childhood and has always felt most fulfilled when creating. At Sixteen Austin started hanging around the local Fort Collins tattoo shops learning about the culture of the industry and collecting piercings and at 18 Austin collected his first tattoo. After going to college for a while, trying a few Career paths, and living in a few different states Austin came back to Fort Collins. An opportunity presented itself at the end of 2018, and at the beginning of 2019 he started his tattoo apprenticeship in Loveland Co. "I consider myself very fortunate to be following my dreams. I am honored and humbled to be a part of such an amazing industry, and at such a progressive and evolutionary time for the craft. I'm excited to continue to grow around such driven and skilled artists, I am overwhelmingly grateful  to be an artist at Black Out Tattoo."

BRENNEN STOTTS

Brennen grew up in a small town in North Dakota. He developed a love for art and nature at a very young age. He's been drawing since he could hold a pencil, and after getting his BFA in studio art, with an emphasis in drawing at MSU in Moorehead, he tattooed for three years before relocating to Ft. Collins. Brennen primarily specializes in realism, either black and grey or color, but will happily accept many other styles.
